RESOLUTIONS OF THE COUNCIL OF ESTONIAN TELECOM

 

The Supervisory Council of AS Eesti Telekom (Estonian Telecom) 

elected today Aare Tark, Attorney at Law, as the new Chairman of the 

Council.

 

Mr Aare Tark was born on 4 April 1959. He graduated from the Faculty 

of Law of the University of Tartu, Estonia, in 1993. Presently he is 

Attorney at Law and the Chairman of the Board of Tark & Co Law 

Office, Estonia. Since 1995, Mr Tark has been a Member of the Board 

of the Estonian Legal Centre and a Member of the Council of the 

Lawyers’ Training Centre of Estonia. Mr Tark was elected as the 

Chairman of the Estonian Bar in 1994, 1995 and 1998.

 

Mr Aare Tark has been a Member of the Estonian Bar since 1983, a 

member of the Estonian Academic Law Association since 1992, and a 

member of the International Bar Association.

 

The Supervisory Council also appointed Mr Mart Nurk as a new member 

to the Management Board in addition to the former members Mr Toomas 

Sõmera, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, and Mr 

Tarmo Amer, Chief Financial Officer. Mr Nurk has graduated from the 

Stockholm University, Sweden, with a Bachelor of law degree in 1969. 

Between 1974 and 1994 he held various management positions in 

different industries. Mr Nurk has been Vice President, head of Baltic 

region at Telia AB, Sweden, since joining that company in 1995. M. 

Nurk was a Member of the Supervisory Council of Estonian Telecom from 

1998 until May 1999. He is Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Council 

of Estonian Telephone Company and a Member of the Supervisory Council 

of the Estonian Mobile Telephone Company.
