NET SALES OF THE ESTONIAN MOBILE TELEPHONE COMPANY WAS UP 

BY 22 % IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 1999. 

 

 

The net sales of Estonian Telecom’s subsidiary Estonian Mobile 

Telephone Company (hereinafter EMT) increased by 22 % during the 

first quarter of 1999 compared with the result in 1998 respectively 

(preliminary unconsolidated result). The net sales amounted to EEK 

331.4 million during the first three months of 1999. 

Mr. Tõnu Tee, the President and CEO of EMT believes that the main 

reason for the growth was increased number of subscribers. EMT had 

approximately 174 thousand subscribers by the end of March 1999.
