BANK OF ESTONIA GAVE ITS APPROVAL FOR THE MERGER OF FOREKSPANK 

AND ESTIB

 

 

According to §30 section 5 of the law on the credit 

institutions, AS Eesti Forekspank and AS Eesti 

Investeerimispank hereby announce that on 01.12.98, Bank of 

Estonia gave its permission for the merger of AS Eesti 

Forekspank and AS Eesti Investeerimispank in accordance with 

the terms of the 30.09.98 merger contract.

 

The 13.11.98 general meeting of the AS Eesti Investeerimispank 

shareholders and the 15.11.98 general meeting of the AS Eesti 

Forekspank shareholders approved the 30.09.98 merger contract 

concluded between the respective credit institutions.

 

From 01.12.98, the transactions of AS Eesti Investeerimispank 

are considered to be made on the account of AS Eesti 

Forekspank. AS Eesti Forekspank and AS Eesti Investeerimispank 

are considered to be legally merged after the registration of 

the respective merger in the Tallinn Business Register, after 

which the merged credit institution will start operating under 

a new trade name AS Optiva Pank.
