ANNOUNCEMENT



INTEREST PAYMENTS ON HÜVITUSFOND VIII AND XVII-SERIES BONDS



Hüvitusfond will pay interest 7% or EEK 7.00 per VIII and 

XVII-series bond.

Interest payments will be made to investors holding the VIII-series 

bonds as of the end-day of 18.11.2001, according to the data of 

the securities register of the Estonian Central Depository 

for Securities. 

Interest payments will be made to investors holding the XVII-series 

bonds as of 20.11.2001 at 8:00 a.m., according to the data of 

the securities register of the Estonian Central Depository 

for Securities.

The interest payments are transferred to the bondholders' accounts 

once a year on November 20, or the first banking day following that 

date.

Hüvitusfond will make interest payments to the holders of 

VIII-series bonds in total amount of 3.04 million EEK. Altogether 

4,000 investors will receive interest payments.

Hüvitusfond will make interest payments to the holders of 

XVII-series bonds in total amount of 3.4 million EEK. Altogether 

270 investors will receive interest payments.

The redemption date for VIII and XVII-series bonds is 20.11.2002. 

Hüvitusfond will then buy back the bonds at nominal value, i.e. EEK 

100 per bond.

Interest payments from Hüvitusfond bonds to private persons are 

exempt from income tax.
