EESTI TELEFON FULFILS PRESCRIPT OF THE COMMUNICATIONS BOARD



On  December  21, 2001, the Communications Board  made  a

prescript  to AS Eesti Telefon, a 100% subsidiary  of  AS

Eesti    Telekom,    to   lower   the   regional    level

interconnection  tariffs  in  2002.  Eesti  Telefon  will

fulfil the prescript.



The   Communications  Board  obliged  Eesti  Telefon   to

guarantee  the  correspondence  of  the  regional   level

interconnection  tariffs effective from January 1, 2002, 

with the Telecommunications  Act and the methodology of a

ccounting costs of an operator of a  telecommunications 

network established by a decree  of the Government.



Eesti   Telefon   will  fulfil  the  prescript   of   the

Communications   Board  and  lower  the  regional   level

interconnection minute tariffs in 2002 by 1  cent.  Eesti

Telefon   has  taken  into  consideration  the   possible

reduction of the tariffs in their prognoses for 2002. The

decision  will  have  no substantial effect  on  expected

economic results of 2002.
