ANNOUNCEMENT



INTEREST RATES FOR VI, XII-SERIES BONDS, REDEMPTION OF BONDS



Hüvitusfond will redeem the issues of VI and XII-series bonds

on 24.01.2002. On the date of redemption the bondholders will 

receive interest payments in addition to redemption payment.



Interest payments will be made to investors holding the respective 

bonds as of the end-day of 22.01.2002, according to the data of 

the securities register of the Estonian Central Depository 

for Securities. 

Redemption payments will be made to investors holding the 

respective bonds as of 24.01.2002 at 8:00 a.m., according to 

the data of the securities register of the Estonian Central 

Depository for Securities.



Base interest paid to the holders of Hüvitusfond VI and XII-series

bonds is 7%. The decision to pay additional interest for H2 2001 

will be maid by Hüvitusfond Supervisory Board on 18.01.2002. 

Volume of VI-series bond issue is EEK 40 million, and volume of

XII-series bonds issue is EEK 29 million.



Interest payments from Hüvitusfond bonds to private persons are 

exempt from income tax.



Hüvitusfond will make interest payments to the holders of VI-series 

bonds in total amount of 2.8 million EEK, and redemption payments 

in total amount of EEK 40 million.

VI-series bond issue took place from 24.01.1996 to 20.02.1996. 

Altogether 2,791 private investors and 19 legal entities 

participated in the issue.



Hüvitusfond will make interest payments to the holders of XII-series 

bonds in total amount of 2.03 million EEK, and redemption payments 

in total amount of EEK 29 million.

XII-series bond issue took place from 03.06.1998 to 29.07.1998. 

Altogether 617 private investors and 2 legal entities 

participated in the issue.
