MERGER OF COMPANIES WITHIN THE GROUP



By its resolution dated 15 August 2002, the Supervisory Board 

of AS Norma instructed the Management Board to commence 

preparations for the merger of AS Norma and AS Norma Maja 

and for the entry into the merger agreement. It is intended 

to effect the merger at the beginning of the year 2003 at

the latest. 



The merger of the commercial undertakings within the Group into one

legal entity complies with the strategy of AS Norma according to which

businesses that do not relate to the core activity of AS Norma should 

be wound up toimprove the efficiency of the company.
