CHAIRMAN OF THE MANAGEMENT BOARD OF AS EMT RESIGNS



Peep Aaviksoo, the chairman of the management board of AS

EMT,  retires  on November 10, 2003 on mutual  agreement.

Peep  Aaviksoo’s letter of resignation has been  accepted

by the supervisory board of AS EMT.



Starting from November 10, 2003, Valdo Kalm, the chairman

of  Elion  Enterprises Ltd. will be the chairman  of  the

management board of AS EMT, based on a management service

agreement.  Kalm  continues also as the chairman  of  the

management board of Elion Enterprises Ltd. The management

service   agreement  of  Valdo  Kalm  lasts   until   the

supervisory  board  of  AS  EMT  nominates  a   permanent

chairman of the management board.



Commenting on the situation Jaan Männik, the chairman  of

the  supervisory board of AS EMT and the chairman of  the

management     board    AS    Eesti    Telekom     said:"

Telecommunication market is facing several new challenges

that  require deeper cooperation between AS EMT and Elion

Enterprises Ltd. Fast expansion of the market is over and

complex  service  of  customers  becomes  more  and  more

important. At the same time, its too early to discuss the

possible merger of the two companies."



AS  EMT is the largest mobile operator in Estonia. AS EMT

is fully owned by AS Eesti Telekom.
