In  May  2004 Ventspils Nafta Termināls, Ltd. - the daughter company of

Ventspils  Nafta,  JSC  handled  0.9  million  tonnes  of crude oil and

petroleum products.

The main part of the throughput volume - more than 0.3 million tonnes -

is  made  up  of  motor  gasoline  of  various grades. These results of

gasoline  transhipment  had been achieved for the first time during the

operation of the terminal since the 90-s of the last century, and could

be  explained  by  the outstanding prices for petroleum products on the

world market.

Gasoline  price  in  the Northern Europe in May 2004 when compared with

the  analogous  period  of the last year increased in average almost by

200$  per  tonne.  This  fact  has obviously conditioned also the rapid

growth  of the gasoline transhipment on Ventspils Nafta Termināls, Ltd.

in May.

In  May Ventspils Nafta Termināls, Ltd. also handled 0.3 million tonnes

of crude oil and 0.3 million tonnes of gasoil.
