JSC  "Latvijas Gāze" informs that in first quarter of 2004 the sales of

natural  gas to consumers amounted to  55.3 million cubic metres, which

is by 1.3% or 8.4 million cubic meters more than in 2003. At the moment

there  is no reason to predict considerable increase in sales amount of

natural gas, since starting from April 2004 several heat producers have

ceased  natural  gas  usage  due to financial problems and current year

sales  amounts will not diverge significantly from the budgeted amounts

for 2004.
