JSC  "Latvijas  Balzams" is increasing the investment in the Lithuanian

market.  By  the  end of the year EUR 8 million will be invested in the

development  of  retail  market,  in  promotion  and  marketing  of new

products:   the  objective  is  to  consolidate  the  position  in  the

Lithuanian market.



All  in  all,  this  year  the company has set a target to increase its

export  by 30%: the volume produced for export is expected to reach 2.3

million  dekalitres.  The total investment value "Latvijas Balzams" has

budgeted for 2003 is LVL 4.454 million.
