Today  Riga Stock Exchange successfully ran a primary placement auction

of  "Hipoteku  un  zemes  banka"  AL series mortgage bonds with 10-year

maturity. Total auction turnover was 3 041 028.75 LVL and average yield

5.98%.   Traditionally,  investors' interest was high, demand exceeding

supply  1.7  times.  30 000 AL series mortgage bonds with total nominal

value  3 000 000 LVL were offered. The bonds mature on August 15, 2012,

and  coupon rate is 6.0%. Total issue value of AL series mortgage bonds

is LVL 5 million: 50 000 bonds with nominal value LVL 100.
