Today  Riga Stock Exchange successfully ran a primary placement auction

of  "Hipoteku  un  zemes  banka"  AD  series mortgage bonds with 5-year

maturity.  Total  auction  turnover was 1 040 750 LVL and average yield

5.77%  per annum. Traditionally, investors' interest was high, over 3.6

mln LVL. 10 000 AD series mortgage bonds with total nominal value 1 000

000  LVL  were offered. The bonds mature on August 15, 2006, and coupon

rate  is  6.5%. AD series mortgage bonds placed today will be listed on

the RSE Official list on April 29, 2002.
