"Latvijas Gāze" share issue for privatisation vouchers - unofficial results

Today the auction of state-owned shares in "Latvijas Gāze" was run at
the Riga Stock Exchange. Altogether, 1,196,908 share were sold at a
price LVL 10.85 per shares. The number of privatisation vouchers to
purchase the said shares amounted to 463,781.64. The number of bids
participation in the auction was 9934, and the number of willing bids
was 9647. All bidders who had specified a price of LVL 10.85 or higher
will be allocated shares within the quota (not more than 200).

Aivars Slokenbergs, Vice President, Riga Stock Exchange: "Judging from
the large number of bids, the interest in buying "Latvijas Gāze" was
high due several reasons: good financial performance of the company,
regular dividend payments, the share price at the stock exchange is one
of the highest among listed companies, and the promotion campaign
implemented by Privatisation Agency".

The auction results still have to be approved by Privatisation Agency.
