Though  in  the  first  nine  months  of  2001 JSC "Liepājas metalurgs"

performance  leaves  much  to be desired, the company is expects to end

the year 2001

successfully.  A  provisional profit for the first 11 months of 2001 is

300,000,  and  net  sales LVL 64 million. It is planned that the profit

for  the  entire  year  will  amount to LVL 450,000, and net sales will

reach LVL 70 million.

Presently  the  company is drafting the budget for 2002. Though not yet

approved  by  the  Management  Board,  the  company  profit for 2002 is

expected to be between

1.5 and 2 million lats.
