In  first  9  month  of  1999  JSC "Balta" has signed LVL 12 157 963 in

insurance  premiums,  Of this, LVL 5 257 152 were received as mandatory

third  party  motor liability insurance premiums and LVL 6 900 811 were

voluntary insurance premiums.

During  this  period JSC "Balta" total insurance compensations paid out

during this period were LVL 4 945 351, compensation level 41,1%. Profit

for the first 9

month  before  taxes  is  LVL 1 069 994. Therefore JSC "Balta" based on

financial  indicators  for  the  first  9  month  has  retained leaders

position  in  premiums  subscribed 19% of non-life insurance market and

22% by paid - out compensations.
