JSC  "  Valmieras stikla skiedra" informs that in first 6 month of 1999

sales  reached  LVL  6401  thousand.  Forecasted  result  confirmed  by

shareholders  general  meeting (LVL 12,7 million) has been accomplished

by  50,4 %. This is despite fall of rate of exchange for German mark in

last months.

98  %  of  production  was sold abroad, that is, 52,4 % in countries of

European Union.

Russian  financial  crises  did  not  effect development of the company

since only

2,3 % are sold in CIS countries.
