JSC  "Jekabpils cukurfabrika" shareholders general meeting on the March

11,  informed  shareholders  about  sugar-refineries  debts  to  credit

institutions, amounts and terms of payments were announced.

In  the  summer  of 1998 loan in the amount of LVL 2,4 million from JSC

"Latvijas  Unibanka"  were  received with the term of payment one year.

Loan  was  received  for  the  processing of sugar-beets and raw sugar.

During  shareholders general meeting forecast regarding difficulties of

repayment  of the loan were made in connection with decrease of amounts

of realisation. At present negotiations about repaying part of the loan

are being conducted.
