JSC “Daugavpils Lokomotīvju remonta rūpnīca” performance in 9 months of 2004



JSC “Daugavpils Lokomotīvju remonta rūpnīca” has met the 9 month sales target by 98.1% (target: 

LVL 8243 thousand, actual: LVL 8089.9 thousand), which is 95.1% of the respective period in 

2003. The company has worked at a loss. The reason is a deviation from the services structure – 

the share of diesel engine repair orders with high profit margin has decreased; also the number 

of orders for electric engine advanced repairs has decreased. The work in progress and the stock

has increased by LVL 93.1 thousand, and the input prices have increased at a higher rate than 

it is possible to increase the price of the products. In Q3 the loss growth rate has slowed 

down.
