A Member of JSC Latvijas kuģniecība Supervisory Council has handed in a 

resignation



JSC Latvijas kuģniecība (LASCO) notifies that Mr. Aldis Āķis, a member of JSC 

Latvijas kuģniecība Supervisory Council, has handed in a resignation and left 

his office on 30 December 2004. According to Article 296.8 of the Commercial 

Law a member of the Council may withdraw from his/her office at any time, 

submitting a notice to the company. Mr. Aldis Āķis was elected member of JSC 

Latvijas kuģniecība Supervisory Council on 15 November 2004.



In compliance with Article 296.9of the Commercial Law if a Council member 

leaves his/her office or is recalled from office before the expiration of the 

time period of the Council, new Council member elections shall take place in 

which the whole composition of the Council shall be re-elected. Therefore, at 

the request of JSC Ventspils Nafta, LASCO shareholder, JSC Latvijas kuģniecība 

Management Board announces JSC Latvijas kuģniecība extraordinary general meeting 

of shareholders to be convened on February 11, 2005 at 10.00, at Reval Hotel 

Rīdzene, Viesturs hall,  Reimersa street 1, Rīgā, LV 1050.
