JSC “Ditton pievadķēžu rūpnīca” comments on information in LETA



JSC “Ditton Driving Chain Factory” Board informs, that the message of news 

agency ‘’LETA’’ contains inaccuracy deforming participation in the declared 

project of JS ‘’Ditton Driving Chain Facotry’’.

In reality, the group of the companies, including ‘’Ditton Holding’’, on press 

conference 12.01.2005. have declared about the civil-engineering design of local 

installation on manufacture of the cheap electric power in comparison with the 

existing and perspective prices in conditions of prospective closing the Ignalina 

APP and HPP Estonia, working on  slate. Realization of the project is supposed to 

realization during two years. For its realization by participants is established 

separate, legally independent design company which invests in the project 

specified in the message "LETA" 20 million EUR.

JS ‘’Ditton Driving Chain Factory’’ does not assume the participation in this 

design company and does not plan in connection with the declared project of any 

investments.

At the same time the offered project is interesting to large industrial consumers 

of the electric power to what our company concerns, for reducing the price of the 

cost price of production. Except for that initiators of the project are interested 

in its accommodation in existing territories of an industrial zone of Daugavpils 

with the advanced infrastructure (there are engineering networks and communications, 

including natural gas as most non-polluting product, nature protection systems and 

monitoring of environment) and comparative remoteness from large housing estate, 

providing safety of the townspeople.

In these conditions JS ‘’Ditton Driving Chain Factory’’ has declared to the 

initiators of the project readiness to buy their cheap product and, after 

insignificant re-structuring, to give the area on the industrial grounds belonging 

to JS ‘’Ditton Driving Chain Factory’’ for its realization under the contract 

of rent.

Considering the above-stated the Board of a society does not consider, that the 

declared project of investments concerns directly to a society and somehow 

influences a property status of a society, that in understanding of clauses 84-87 

of the Law "About the market of financial tools" is the internal information 

(essential event), subject to opening when due hereunder. The Board considers, 

that search of alternative cheap sources of raw material and power resources - 

a constant and daily duty of an institution of management of a society.
