ANNOUNCEMENT OF JSC LATVIJAS KUĢNIECĪBA



JSC Latvijas kuģniecība (LASCO) (uniform reg. No. 40003021108) 

hereby informs that on 22 February 2005 an announcement containing 

misleading information was published on behalf of LASCO Supervisory 

Council and Board of Directors in the Latvijas Vēstnesis (official 

gazette of the Republic of Latvia), the Dienas Bizness and the 

Neatkarīgā Rīta Avīze. The announcement specifies deceptive reasons 

for the delay in the registration of LASCO Council and Board 

composition in the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia. 

Besides, in a legally unjustified manner it validates resolutions 

passed by JSC Latvijas kuģniecība Council elected on 11.02.2005 and 

JSC Latvijas kuģniecība Board of Directors elected on 14.02.05, while 

announcing those of the dismissed Board and Council illegal. Pursuant 

to Article 12.1 and 12.3 of the Commercial Law, in case of announcing 

any information not recorded in the Commercial Register, the Council 

elected on 11.02.2005 and the Board elected on 14.02.2005 shall bear 

responsibility for willful misrepresentation.
