I.Vikmanis, the Chairman of the Board of JSC Latvijas kuģniecība looks at 

the allegations of pressure exposing on him as absurd

Imants Vikmanis, the Chairman of the Board of JSC Latvijas kuģniecība 

considers the allegations made by separate former Board members of JSC Latvijas 

kuģniecība on pressure exposing on him to be absurd, completely ungrounded 

and illogical.

“I care for the future of JSC Latvijas kuģniecība, and my duties of the 

Chairman of the Board within the membership of the present Board I have 

undertaken willingly, understanding that a professional management is very 

important for the company,” emphasizes I.Vikmanis, underlying that his actions 

are based only on requirements of law and observing interests of all shareholders.

“The public and illegal announcements made by the former Board of JSC Latvijas 

kuģniecība, which adversely influence the reputation and balanced work of the 

employees of JSC Latvijas kuģniecība, can be rather considered as a psychological 

pressure,” said I.Vikmanis.
