Court Lifts the Ban from the Registration of Changes in the Management of 

Latvian Shipping Company



Today, on April 6th, 2005, the Panel of Civil Judges of Riga Regional Court 

upon the appraisal of the related complaint made by Ventspils Nafta has revoked 

the resolution adopted in favour of plaintiff’s Edijs Kizenbahs’ application 

for judicial security by Riga Central District Court on February 14th, 2005 

that put a ban on the registration of the changes made in the composition of 

the Council of the Latvian Shipping Company which were accepted by the Shareholders’ 

Meeting on February 11th, 2005, including some resolutions adopted by the Council of 

the Latvian Shipping Company later on that date, at the Registrar of Companies of 

the Republic of Latvia, and dismissed Edijs Kizenbahs’ application for judicial 

security. The above resolution adopted by the Panel of Civil Judges of Riga Regional 

Court is non-reversible and enters into force from the moment of its announcement.
