PERMIT OF COMPETITION BOARD TO BUY TIRSI



On April 12 AS A-Selver, full subsidiary of Tallinna Kaubamaja AS, received the

permit of concentration issued by the Competition Board to acquire the operating

rights of the supermarkets in Tartu, belonging to OÜ Tirsi Grupp, as well as the

related assets and rights. Since April 13 Selver will start to operate the three

Tirsi supermarkets in Tartu and from the second half of the current year the

supermarkets in Pärnu and in Tallinn. The sales area will increase approximately

by 7300 sq m. The price of the deal will not be disclosed.



By the end of May 2005 the supermarkets under the concept of Tirsi brand name

located in Tartu, Kalda road 43 and Ringtee 76/78 will be joining in the concept

of Selver. Turu 37a supermarket will remain under the Tirsi brand name until the

opening of the new Selver store at Sõbra Street 56 in the end of the current

year.



AS A-Selver has concluded the lease agreements with a real estate developer AS

Tirsi Kinnisvara Haldus for operating supermarkets in the following addresses: in

Tartu Turu 37a, Kalda road 43 and Ringtee 76/78, Suur-Jõe 57 in Pärnu and

Mustakivi road 3a in Tallinn.
