JSC Valmieras stikla šķiedra to invest EUR 35 mill. in modernisation



The outstanding results of 2004 and the company’s successful 

development over the last years has led the Supervisory Council 

to support an investment project elaborated by the Management 

Board about EUR 35 mill., which is to be realised within the 

coming 2 or 3 years. The purpose of this project is to continue 

abolishing obsolete, inefficient production methods and facilities, 

especially the glass pellet method; thereby realising a pressingly 

necessary further modernisation, and increasing productivity 

as well as production capacities of the company in order to 

better satisfy its customers.
