PRELIMINARY RESULT OF THE ACCOUNTABLE PERIOD AND AMOUNTS PAYABLE



According to the preliminary data, during 6 months of 2002 Kauno Energija AB

generated profit of LTL 16,457,512.00. At the end of the accountable period

(30/06/2002) all sums payable and liabilities exceeded the authorized capital

1.67 times (sums payable and liabilities of the current year account for 0.36

of the authorized capital).
