CHANGES INTRODUCED BY EKRANAS  AB IN ŠIAULIŲ TAURO TELEVIZORIAI UAB HAVE

PRODUCED GOOD RESULTS

After increasing its share holding in ŠIAULIŲ TAURO TELEVIZORIAI UAB in

August 2002  EKRANAS  AB has implemented many changes in a short time, which

produced the following results:

- sales of ŠIAULIŲ TAURO TELEVIZORIAI UAB will  nearly double in 2002;

- the company’s net profit in 2002 will reach about LTL 1 million

(last year the company had LTL 1.3 million loss);

- over 80% of TV sets will be sold to West European markets.



The Board was formed on 28 August 2002 including heads of EKRANAS AB,

V.Zabarskas, E.Žvybas, and A. Zokaitienė.



Having a  strong production and intellectual potential EKRANAS AB will pass

its experience on to ŠIAULIŲ TAURO TELEVIZORIAI UAB, which will help expand

the business of Lithuanian television sets and reinforce positions established

in West European markets.
