SALES OF VILNIAUS VINGIS AB PRODUCTS IN JANUARY 2003

In January 2003, Vilniaus Vingis AB sold production for LTL 11.1 million,

which is  LTL 0.5 million (4.5 percent) less than in January 2002.

Production exports amounted to LTL 8.4 million. Compared with the corresponding

period last year, sales abroad increased by LTL 0.4 million. More production

was sold in England  (LTL 0.2 million), Hungary (LTL 2.1 million), and Spain

(LTL 0.65 million). This year sales to the consumers of the NIS countries

summed up to LTL 0.39 million, which is LTL 0.15 million less than during the

first month of 2002. 

Production export level of the current year stands at 75.7 percent (in January

2002 this index  was 68.1  percent).

This year production sales to the Lithuanian consumers amounted to LTL 2.7

million, which is LTL 1.0 million less than in January 2002.
