Results of operation for the year 2004



Revenues of Lifosa AB for the year 2004 totaled LTL 529.532 m and as compared to

those in 2003, during which sales revenues amounted to LTL 431.996 m, they grew

by 22.6 %. Higher selling prices of the company's main products and delivery of

a part of its output to the buyer's port of destination resulted in such a

revenue growth. 

The sales of the main product of the company, diamonium phosphate fertilizer,

amounted to 737.4 thousand tons over the reporting period. Lifosa AB earned a

pre-audited net profit of LTL 51.06 m in 2004. The net profit of the Company

increased six-fold in 2004 against 2003, the net profit of which stood at LTL

7.899 m.

A successful performance of the company during 2004 was determined by a

favorable situation, which arose for the producers of phosphate fertilizers in

the market as the prices of many kinds of fertilizers in the worldwide markets

reached the ten-year heights. Expansion of direct sales enabled Lifosa AB to

effectively utilize a favorable to the company growth in the selling prices of

diamonium phosphate and reach high profitability.
