Performance for Q1 2005



The preliminary result of operation of Lietuvos Energija AB for the first

quarter of 2005, excluding revaluation adjustment of long-term assets is a

pre-audited net profit of LTL 23 m. The performance including the

revaluation adjustment will be announced starting from the first half of the

year.



The total income for the first quarter of 2005 amounted to LTL 240.6 m and

was by 18.3% lower than for the corresponding period a year before. Earnings

before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) reached LTL

45.5 m (LTL 65.8 m in 2004). The main reason for the decrease in income and

EBITDA is a reduction of electricity export due to the operation of only one

block of the Ignalina power plant.
