On the merger of companies



JSC Parex ieguldījumu pārvaldes sabiedrība (registration No 40003577500) 

and JSC Parex Asset Management (registration No 40003577498) inform of the 

decision to restructure the two companies by merging Parex ieguldījumu 

pārvaldes sabiedrība into Parex Asset Management, approved on 18 August 

2005.



The merger process was initiated due to the changes in the legislation of 

the Republic of Latvia, expanding the range of activities permitted for an 

investment management company. Thus, in addition to fund and pension plan 

management, investment management companies can now offer individual asset 

management services, which is the core line of business of Parex Asset 

Management. The merger will allow streamlining operations of both 

companies and offering the full range of services to clients under a 

single brand.



The merger will considerably affect neither Parex ieguldījumu pārvaldes 

sabiedrība and Parex Asset Management managed investment funds, investment 

plans and investment portfolios of private pension funds, nor investors.
