Šiaulių Bankas is the largest Lithuanian capital bank, a steadily and consistently growing financial partner, paying special attention to business financing and consumer financing solutions. Šiaulių Bankas serves its clients in 56 client service units in 37 cities and towns throughout Lithuania. The Bank was established in 1992. Šiaulių Bankas Group includes subsidiaries, which operate in the fields of leasing, life insurance and real estate.
The partnership between Šiaulių Bankas and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has started in 2000. In 2005, the EBRD became the largest shareholder and since the end of 2018 it owns 26 per cent of Šiaulių Bankas' shares. Strong partnership and close cooperation also relates Šiaulių Bankas with other Lithuanian (INVEGA, VIPA) and international financial institutions such as European Investment Bank (EIB), Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), Northern Investment Bank (NIB), European Investment Fund ( EIF) and others.
The priority area of Šiaulių Bankas is financing of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The Bank provides loans to SMEs funded by the European Regional Development Funds (risk-sharing loans as well as portfolio guarantees). Šiaulių Bankas actively participates in apartment building renovation projects, finances the implementation of energy saving programmes in the country and is the leader in renovation financing in Lithuania.
Shares of Šiaulių bankas have been traded on the stock exchange since 1994, and at the end of 2006 the shares of the bank were listed on the Main list of Nasdaq Vilnius.
Šiaulių bankas is also an active broker on the Nasdaq Baltic market, which is a member of all three stock exchanges - Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn, as well as a participant in the Central Depository Nasdaq CSD.
Successful activities of Šiaulių Bankas have been positively evaluated by such business and finance magazines as "The Banker", "Global Finance". Šiaulių Bankas has also been selected as the best customer service bank in Lithuania for the second year in a row according to the results of the DIVE Lietuva mystery shopper survey in 2018 and 2019.
