About the company
EPSO-G is a 100% state-owned energy group. The shareholder rights and obligations of EPSO-G holding are implemented by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania.
The EPSO-G group consists of the holding company EPSO-G and six directly controlled subsidiaries: Amber Grid, Baltpool, Energy cells, EPSO-G Invest, Litgrid, and Tetas. EPSO-G and the Group companies also hold shares in Rheinmetall Defence Lietuva, Baltic RCC OÜ, and TSO Holding AS.
The main activity of EPSO-G group is to ensure uninterrupted, stable electricity transmission via high voltage grids and natural gas transportation via high pressure pipelines. The Group is responsible for the efficient management, maintenance, construction, and development of these transmission systems.
The Group also operates a 200 MW battery energy storage system, which ensures stable operation of the electricity transmission system in isolated mode and provides balancing services with limited capacity (up to 40 MW).
The companies belonging to the Group operate and develop biofuel and wood trading platforms designed to ensure transparent competition in the energy and round wood markets. In addition, the Group’s companies implement electrical engineering contracting projects and provide infrastructure operation services for low-, medium-, and high-voltage grid operators.
In cooperation with partners, the EPSO-G group also invests in the development of defence industry projects of strategic importance to Lithuania.
