On September 17 rating agency Standard & Poor's informed 

Hansabank that it had issued an unofficial rating of double 

B to the bank. The rating was not ordered by Hansabank and 

is based only on publicly available information.

 

Hansabank official rating was ordered from Moody's Investors 

Service and the ratings assigned to Hansabank are the following:

 

Long-term deposit rating:	Baa2

Short-term deposit rating:	Prime 3

Financial strength rating:	D+

 

Outlook for all the ratings is stable.
