HANSAPANK RECEIVED A BANKING LICENSE IN LITHUANIA

 

 

On May 13, 1999 the Bank of Lithuania resolved to issue the banking 

license to AB bank Hansabank. The share capital of the newly 

established AB bank Hansabank equals 33.0 million LTL.

 

The Council of AB bank Hansabank will consist of the following 

persons:

Mr. Indrek Neivelt (Chairman of the Board of Hansabank),

Mr. Ago Lauri (Director of Foreign Relations Department of 

Hansabank),

Mr. Erkki Raasuke (Finance Director of Hansabank).

 

The Board members of the newly established bank will be the 

following:

Mr. Arunas Šikšta (Chairman of the Board, Director of Administration 

Department),

Mr. Darius Nedzinskas (Deputy Chairman of the Board, Director of 

Retail Banking Department),

Mr. Antanas Poška (Member of the Board, Chief Accountant).

 

The objective of the establishment of Hansapank subsidiary in 

Lithuania is to satisfy the needs of our existing clients in the 

country, offering them high quality and professional services, 

banking innovations in the areas of corporate and retail banking 

and, besides, actively developing the electronic banking services.

 

AB bank Hansabank intends to start providing its services to the 

clients from the end of June -beginning of July.
