COMMENTARY TO THE ARTICLE OF ÄRIPÄEV "ÜHISPANK INTENDS TO 

PURCHASE MAJORITY OF LEKS KINDLUSTUS SHARES "

 

We hereby announce that at this moment Ühispank holds 35% of the 

shares of Leks Kindlustus. The press allegation about Ühispank’s 

intention to purchase the majority shares of Leks Kindlustus is a 

speculation. The increase or decrease of the respective holdings 

is not currently on the agenda. The insurance strategy of 

Ühispank is at the development stage yet. 

 

Ühispanga Elukindlustuse AS mentioned in the article of Äripäev 

was established on October 29, 1998, its share capital amounts to 

18 million EEK and it is 100% owned by Ühispank. The company is 

currently  being registrated in the Business Register.
