PENNU WILL CHALLENGE THE SUSPENSION FROM THE ESTONIAN CHAMBER OF 

COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY.

 

The data published by the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and 

Industry (ECCI) in the press, which associates AS PCTG with the 

forgery of the certificate of origin, is unreasonable and harms 

directly and significantly the reputation and business activities 

of our company. 

 

AS Pennu Computer Technology Group has always followed the export 

requirements set by law, and also now it has not forged the 

certificate of origin. Based on the laws of the republic of 

Estonia, the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has no 

right to issue the certificate of origin. The ECCI 12.11.98 

decision about the suspension of Pennu from the ECCI is baseless 

and illegal, and therefore Pennu makes a proposal to the 

Management Board of the ECCI to revise and annul its decision. In 

case the incompetent decision of the ECCI Management Board will 

not be annulled, Pennu will file a lawsuit to protect its legal 

rights.

 

The statutory goal of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and 

Industry is the development of entrepreneurship and commerce, and 

representation and protection of the interests of its members. 

The suspension of Pennu from the ECCI, and presentation of 

misleading information to the press before informing Pennu about 

the Management Board’s respective decision, is unprecedented and 

regretful.

 

According to a law office’s opinion about the conflict between 

the Estonian Chamber of Commerce Industry and AS Pennu Computer 

Technology Group, the Management Board of the ECCI has broken the 

generally accepted justice principles and valid legal acts on 

making the decision.
