EESTI ÜHISPANK AND EIB SIGNED EUR 20M LOAN CONTRACT



Today, on December 10th, the representatives of Eesti 

Ühispank and the European Investment Bank sign a global 

loan finance contract according to which Eesti Ühispank 

can borrow up to 20 Million Euros from the European 

Investment Bank. 



The loan will be used to finance small and medium sized 

projects in the field of environmental protection, energy 

savings, infrastructure, industry, service and tourism. 



The credit can be disbursed in the maximum of ten 

tranches until December 31, 2001. The interest rate and 

the repayment schedule will be specified separately for 

each tranche. The maturity of each tranche will be from 

four to ten years.
