ANNOUNCEMENT



PROPOSED DIVIDEND



Based on the preliminary income statement of AS Hansapank in respect

of the financial year 2000 the board has decided to make a proposal to

pay dividend in the amount of EEK 1 (one Estonian kroon) per one share

as part of the profit distribution proposal.



The final profit distribution proposal will be made after the release

of the audited results.
