ANNOUNCEMENT



II-SERIES INTEREST, II AND XVI-SERIES REDEMPTION



Hüvitusfond will redeem the issues of II-series (public issue) and 

XVI-series (closed issue) bonds on 17.03.2001.

On the date of redemption the bondholders of II-series bonds will receive 

interest payments for the previous year in addition to the redemption payment.

Interest payments will be made to investors holding the respective bonds 

as of the end-day of 15.03.2001, according to the data of the ecurities 

register of the Estonian Central Depository for Securities.

Redemption payments will be made to the bondholders of II and XVI-series 

bonds as of 17.03.2001 at 8:00 a.m., according to the data of the securities 

register of the Estonian Central Depository for Securities.

Base interest paid to the holders of II-series bonds is 7% (EEK 7 per bond),

and additional interest 0%.



Additional and base interest for the XVI-series bonds will not be paid

in accordance with the terms of the respective issue.



Volume of II-series bond issue is EEK 30,000,000, and the issue of the

bonds took place from 17.03.1995 to 13.04.1995.

Volume of the closed XVI-series issue directed solely to institutional 

investors, is EEK 13,165,000, and the issue of the bonds took place 

from 28.12.1999 to 30.12.1999. 



Hüvitusfond will make interest payments to the holders of II-series 

bonds in total amount of EEK 2.1 million, and redemption payments 

in total amount of EEK 30 million.

Altogether 1,900 investors will receive interest and redemption payments.

The bondholders of XVI-series bonds will receive in total EEK 13.1 million.

Total of 6 institutional investors participated in the respective issue.



Interest payments from Hüvitusfond bonds to private persons are exempt 

from income tax.
