REGISTRATION OF THE SHARE CAPITAL INCREASE



The company register has registered Hansabank’s share capital increase

by 926,750 EEK. Hansabank’s share capital now amounts to 788,571,090

EEK, consisting of 78,857,109 ordinary common shares with a par value

of 10 EEK each. The new shares will be listed on Tallinn and Helsinki

stock exchanges starting from March 21, 2001 and they are entitled to

dividends for the financial year of 2000 and onwards.
