INTENTION TO NOMINATE AS EMT AS A COMPANY WITH SMP



On  August 25th,  Estonian National Communications  Board

presented a letter to AS EMT, in which, according to  the

§  8,   section   4   of   the   Telecommunication   Law,

the  Communications  Board  announces  its  intention  to

pronounce  AS  EMT  to a company with significant  market

power  for the year 2004,  in  the national area  of  the

general mobile  services market.



According to the Estonian Telecommunication Law,  AS  EMT

has  two  months time to present a written opinion  about

its nomination as a company with significant market.



AS  EMT  had also been declared for 2002 and 2003  as  an

operator  with significant market power  in  the national

area of the general mobile  services market.



In    its    forecasts,   AS EMT  reckoned    with    the

Communications  Board  declaring  the  business  as    an

operator   with   significant   market   power   in   the

abovementioned market for 2004.
