The  activities  of  the Preses Nams, JSC that is a daughter company of

Ventspils  Nafta,  JSC showed net profit in 2003 in the amount of 684.4

thousand lats. The net turnover of the company for the mentioned period

reached   18.6   million   lats.   The   financial  results  above  are

corresponding to the strategic plans of Preses Nams, JSC.

To  renew the material and technical base Preses Nams, JSC invested 1.7

million lats in 2003.

The  main  activities  of Preses Nams, JSC is to render the services by

printing newspapers, magazines, books and packing materials. The 70% of

the printing services rendered by Preses Nams, JSC in 2003 were used by

customers  in  Latvia  and  the  balance  of  30% was made up of export

production.

The  high  quality  of  printing works provided by Preses Nams, JSC has

been  positively  valued  by  the  leading publishing societies both in

Latvia  and other countries. The 80% of the awarded books that competed

for  the  "Publishing Business Award 2003" have been produced by Preses

Nams,  JSC. The books printed by the company have also gained awards in

Canada, Norway, Spain.
