A  GOOD  MANUFACTURING  PRACTICE  CERTIFICATE  was  issued  to  Latvian

producer of medicines JSC "Olainfarm".

Certificate  verifies  that  production of active pharmaceutical agents

and   marking  and  packaging  of  finished  pharmaceutical  forms  and

injection  pharmaceutical  forms  of  the company is in conformity with

European requirements.

It  is  worth mentioning that Management of JSC "Olainfarm" have timely

taken  care  that  company's comparably cheap products do not disappear

from  pharmacy-shop shelves even on a day, which in the light of Latvia

accession   to   EU  is  especially  topical.  Along  with  receipt  of

certificate  the  company may carry on marking and packaging of already

produced  medicines,  but  production  of  medicines by JSC "Olainfarm"

shall  be  renewed  this  summer  when  it  is  planned  to receive GMP

certificate also for production of finished pharmaceutical forms.

In  accordance  with  State  Agency of medicines' inference as of April

20th,   JSC  "Olainfarm's"  packaging  workshop,  quality  control  and

microbiological   laboratories  premises  and  equipment,  as  well  as

storehouses,  archives,  documentation  and personnel are in conformity

with  good manufacturing practice requirements for production of active

pharmaceutical   agents   and   marking   and   packaging  of  finished

pharmaceutical forms and injection pharmaceutical forms.

Presently  construction  of major objects is approaching the end. Those

are  new  production  work-shops  designed  in  accordance  with modern

technologies:  Grand  production  of  finished pharmaceutical forms and

district for production of Nitrofuran products. In the nearest time new

manufacturing  equipment  will  be  brought in and installation will be

started.  This  new  equipment  produced by world-known companies (IMA;

Bosch)  will  allow  optimize  production  costs and follow the growing

market demand by issuing of new products.

It  is  expected  that  already  in  the  end  of  June  this  year JSC

"Olainfarm"  production  plant will fully correspond to requirements of

European  quality  certificate.  Grand opening will take place in July.

That will allow JSC "Olainfarm" to sell its products on both Latvia and

EU markets as well as number of other world markets.
