In  the  first  8 months of 2003 JSC "Ventspils nafta" has reloaded 8.4

million  tons  of  oil and oil products (monthly average over 1 million

tons). Out of total volume, 4.4 million tons is diesel oil, 2.3 million

is  crude  oil,  and  1.6  million  -  petrol. All the cargos have been

received  by rail. In August the reloaded volumes were 0.7 million tons

of  oil and oil products. Traditionally, August has been the month when

the reloaded volumes shrink.
