Today,  on  January 3, the RSE Management Board resolved to list Valsts

obligāciju fonds fund units on the Official list. Starting with January

7,  2002, the RSE will publish on its website the buy and sell price of

the  fund  units  and  other associated information, such as investment

strategy.



According  to the fund investment policy, the assets may be invested in

the  securities  issued by Governments and Central Banks of Latvia, the

Baltic States and the OECD countries.



The  idea  of  open-end investment funds is that the investment company

itself  buys  and  sells  the  fund units. Valsts obligāciju fonds fund

manager  is  Baltikums  Asset  Management.  They  are  already managing

another  listed  fund,  Baltic Index fonds , listed on the RSE Official

list since April 17, 2001.
