On December 22, 1997, a/s 'Olainfarm' has made a borrowing of 1,600,000

USD against short-term discount bills registered at the Latvian Central

Depository.  The  bills  are  securitised.  Face  value  of one bill is

100,000  USD, and maturity date is June 22, 1998. All the sixteen bills

were purchased by Hansapank Ltd.

The  borrowed  funds will be used to pay for 'Endokrininiai Preparatai'

shares.

The registering and paying agent is a/s 'Hansabank Latvija'.
