Funding for OÜ Eesti Pandipakend



Saku Brewery Ltd, Coca-Cola HBC Eesti and A.LeCoq Tartu Õlletehas are going to

arrange the financing of OÜ Eesti Pandipakend in an amount of EEK 60 million so

that the new private limited company could launch a packaging recovery system in

accordance with its approved business plan and contracts that will be made.



According to an agreement signed today, Saku Brewery is going to guarantee the

financing of OÜ Eesti Pandipakend in line with a contract that will be concluded

between them to the extent of EEK 20,000,000 (twenty million).



Investments in the activity of OÜ Eesti Pandipakend will enable the latter to

launch beverage packaging recovery services to Estonian retailers in conformity

with the beverage packaging deposit system requirements of the Packaging Act

which will enter into force on 1 May this year.



OÜ Eesti Pandipakend is a packaging recovery organisation established by

producers and traders on the basis of the Packing Act. Its objective is to

arrange in Estonia collection and reuse of packaging that has been assigned a

deposit. Under the Packaging Act, this encompasses PET, glass and metal (can)

packaging of water, soft drinks, beer and low-alcohol beverages.



The shareholders of OÜ Eesti Pandipakend are Estonian Breweries Association,

Estonian Traders Association, Soft Drink Producers Association and Soft Drink and

Beer Importers Association, all with an equal 25% interest.
