JSC “Rīgas starptautiskā autoosta” last year sales LVL 880 thousand; profit down



JSC “Rīgas starptautiskā autoosta” last year non-audited sales figure is LVL 880.4 thousand, 

which is by 6.8% more than in 2003. Company profits have shrunk more than fivefold and was 

13.5 thousand.



The reason for profit decrease is increase of operational costs – land lease, utilities, wage 

increase etc. Yet, the performance in 2004 was successful – the number of passengers has 

increased by 8%, and buses serviced by 7.3%. 



The most important accomplishments in 2004 was the launch of the new ticket trading system, 

finalization of the building refurbishing, and obtaining of ISO 9001:2000. One of the key tasks 

for the coming year is increase of the bus terminal tariffs – these have to be negotiated with the bus lines.
